We will plan on meeting on Sat at 8am at the school to get ready for the parade. I have 2 large boxes (50+ lbs) of taffy for us to throw out, so please bring a small back pack you can carry with you to hold candy in. Also, we will be making some signs to carry with us when we meet at 8. PLEASE BE ON TIME because we need to be at the start of the parade by 9:00 and it will probably take us 10-15 minutes to walk to that starting point.
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle you can carry with you in case it gets hot.
If you can't make it at 8, but still plan on walking in the parade, meet us at the parade starting point by 9:00 a.m. Also, please let me know if you are not going to be able to make it. I am hoping that most of you will be there barring any major conflicts.
ALSO, this is just a reminder that we will need you on the 7th grade day at school which is August 22nd. Please plan on being there by 7:45 to help the new 7th graders find their classes and open their lockers. We will keep you there until 2 or so. You need to let me know if you can't make it.

Alpine Days Parade and Shirt Design
If you remember, we talked about participating in the parade this year. There were a few glitches to this plan and it was off for a while, but we are back on now. I have ordered over 50 lbs. of candy for us to throw out along the route and I am hoping you can all participate. Details below . . .
Parade: August 13th (Saturday) at 10:00 a.m. - We will probably need to meet at least by 9:15 or so. The parade starts at the corner of Red Pine Drive and Main Street.
We cannot take any vehicles, so we will be walking--you may want to bring water and sunscreen. Thanks to Mrs. Loveland and Mrs. Boyd, we will also be having T-shirts as our Student Council Shirts won't be ready yet.
I would like for us to meet either Friday the 12th at 9:00 a.m. or the morning of the parade at 8:00 a.m. to make some signs and come up with a game plan. I don't anticipate this taking more than an hour or so.
